Finn Hurley hails from Gore but attended Otago Boys' High School and plays his NPC rugby for Otago and played representative rugby for both the NZ U19s and NZ U20s teams.
Despite his small stature, Hurley's speed and eye for holes in the defensive line make him an exciting player who is hard to contain and can launch a counter attack where few see options.
He entered 2025 with his first full-time Super Rugby contract and proved a valuable contributor, using his speed and instinct for gaps to make an impact in the Highlanders backline. His season was cut short by injury, stopping the momentum he had begun to build.
Heading into 2026, Hurley will be focused on recovery and return, aiming to build on his 2025 flashes of brilliance and carve out more consistent opportunities in the Highlanders backline.
