Finn Hurley hails from Gore but attended Otago Boys' High School and plays his NPC rugby for Otago and played representative rugby for both the NZ U19s and NZ U20s teams.

Hurley comes into his first Super Rugby contract for the Highlanders in 2025 after being an injury replacement in 2023 where he made his debut against the Western Force in Invercargill. He was called into the squad again as injury cover in 2024 and picked up another four caps. He enters 2025 with his first full time Super Rugby contract on the back of a strong NPC season.

Despite his small stature, Hurley's speed and eye for holes in the defensive line make him an exciting player who is hard to contain and can launch a counter attack where few see options.
