BAYLEYS BRINGS HIGHLANDERS BACK TO BASIN
23 November 2023
The Highlanders, thanks to Bayleys, are returning to Queenstown for a pre-season match against Moana Pasifika on Friday 2nd February 2024.
Once again, Bayleys is opening the gates for all primary and intermediate-aged school children (under 13) to attend free of charge. With a new location (Field 2, Queenstown Events Centre) and an earlier date on the calendar, this fixture is set to kick off a great weekend of events, including the annual Gibbston Valley Concert the following day (Saturday, February 3).
Stacy Coburn, Group Operations Manager and Owner of Bayleys Queenstown, commented, "We are excited to be partnering with the Highlanders in a newly negotiated sponsorship alignment, which will see us connecting with the wider community across our network in the Lower South.
As a leading real estate brand, we are constantly looking for opportunities that align with our core values and enhance our brand’s identity and like rugby, real estate is definitely a contact sport! This partnership perfectly embodies our commitment to teamwork, determination and striving to get the best results. Just like the dedication it takes to excel in real estate, rugby demands discipline, strategy and a strong sense of the community, on and off the field! Through this sponsorship, we will engage the community across our wider franchise region ( Wanaka, Dunedin, Queenstown & Southland), involving supporters, key clients, families and kids . Bringing another pre-season game to Queenstown and providing free entry to children under 13 years of age, is another highlight for us and we cant wait to deliver this to the District.”
Community engagement remains a vital focus for the Highlanders, who are excited to return to Queenstown with the support of Bayleys. "We are fortunate to have the backing of partners who are actively involved in our wider region. Our people are spread far and wide throughout the Highlanders' region, and reaching as many as possible during our pre-season is always a priority. We couldn't do this without partners like Bayleys."
"We are grateful for the continued support from Bayleys through their partnership, and it is thanks to them that children can attend for free," said Roger Clark, CEO of the Highlanders.
Tickets are now available through the Highlanders' Official Ticketing Partner, Ticketek, with all primary and intermediate-aged children (under 13) granted free entry, thanks to Bayleys. Gates open at 5 pm, with kick-off at 6 pm, food and beverage available on-site.
The full Highlanders' pre-season schedule will be announced later in the year, ahead of the Highlanders' opening game in the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific competition on Saturday, 24th February, at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin. See the full draw at here.
