A towering lock originally from St Kentigern's College, Pari Pari Parkinson moved to Nelson joining the Crusaders Academy. Parkinson quickly made his mark and represented the Crusaders Knights before being called into the 2016 Tasman Makos squad.
Pari Pari joined and debuted for the Highlanders in 2018 and is an athletic lock, that will be looking forward to playing some Super Rugby after being sideline with injury for the full 2022 season. An impressive season in 2021 saw Pari Pari named in the Māori All Blacks, and no doubt, he will be striving to return to not only a Highlanders blue jersey but also black one.
