Young Loose Forward, Oliver Haig, will join the Highlanders squad in 2024. Born in Perth but raised in Suffolk (in the UK), Oliver moved to Dunedin when he was year 9 and attended Otago Boy's High School. 

Haig has played for both the Highlanders and New Zealand Under 20's teams and has been playing for Otago in the NPC competition. 

Oliver made his debut for the Highlanders in Round 4 of the 2023 season against the Western Force in Invercargill.
