Jack Taylor is a Southland-born hooker who has had an impressive start to his career already. 

Taylor was selected into the Southland Stags Npc team in 2022 and made his debut for both Southland and the Highlanders in 2023. 

In 2023 Jack was also selected for the New Zealand Under 20's team that competed in South Africa for the U20's Rugby World Cup. 

Before 2023, Jack was part of the John Jones Steel Highlanders High Performance Programme which paved his pathway into the full squad for 2024.

I'd be a farmer. 

What does representing the Highlanders mean to you? 

Everything, growing up in the region and going to games as a young fella with my brothers and my dad, gave me shivers listening to the bagpipes and have always had a dream of hopefully playing for them. Extremely about the HIghlanders and will do everything I can to perform the best I can for the team and the region.
