Daniel Lienert-Brown joined the Highlanders early on in the 2015 season and became a real asset in the front row.
Daniel hails from Christchurch and made his Super Rugby debut for the Crusaders in 2014 after being called into the team from the wider training group. He has turned into a more mature, skilful prop who reached the impressive milestone of 100 Super Rugby games during the 2022 season.
Daniel was a member of the 2015 Championship winning Highlanders team and the only current member of the 2025 squad to have played in that team however, 2015 teammates, Ben Smith and Nasi Manu, are now members of the Highlanders Management team.
Rugby runs in the family with younger brother Anton Lienert-Brown being a member of the Chiefs since 2014.
