Otago Boys High School Alumn, Cameron Millar, may not be a household name but is well known to the Otago/Southland rugby fraternity.
Known for his infallible boot and calm head, Millar has been a member of the John Jones Steel Highlanders High Performance Programme and was a member of the Highlanders U20 team that played in Taupo in 2022.
After a successful tournament Millar was named in the NZ U20 team that went on to win the Oceania U20 tournament in Australia.
Millar backed up those successes with a stand-out NPC where he solidified his place in the starting team and put his hand up for a Super Rugby contract securing a full contract for the 2024 season after injury replacement appearances in 2023.
In 2025, he added valuable experience with several strong outings in the Highlanders jersey, showcasing his game management and goal-kicking throughout his appearances.
Heading into 2026, Millar will be looking to push for increased game time and stake his claim as a future leader in the first-five role.
