Ajay Faleafaga is an exciting young fly-half who has played for the Highlanders and New Zealand Under 20 teams. Moving to Dunedin to study at the University of Otago in 2021, Faleafaga was originally part of the Highlanders High Performance Programme. He made his NPC debut in 2023 for Otago and showed his promising skills.

Faleafaga made his Highlanders debut in 2024 against the Blues in round 2 and went on to take the field six more times during the 2024 DHL Super Rugby Season.

He will be looking to gain more game time and solidify himself as a preferred option at first-five in 2025.
