Will Stodart is a 21-year-old loose forward who is originally from Southland but plays for Otago in the NPC competition. 

Stodart attended St Andrews College in Christchurch where he captained the First XV rugby team. He moved to Otago after school, joining the Highlanders High-Performance Programme. He represented the Highlanders at the Super Rugby U20 tournament in Taupō, and was named in the New Zealand U20 in 2023. 

In 2025, Stodart gained valuable experience in his first full season with the Highlanders, showcasing his work rate, physicality, and versatility as a loose forward.

His performances helped him further establish himself as a promising young player in both Super Rugby and the NPC.
