Utility Back
Taine Robinson was born in Collingwood, at the very top of the South Island, where he attended Nelson College.
Robinson was named in the 2021 Tasman Mako squad and debuted that same year, helping the team reach the NPC final.
The qualified builder made his Super Rugby debut for the Crusaders as injury cover in 2024 and joined the Highlanders for the 2025 season. In his first year with the Highlanders, Robinson featured regularly in the backline, showcasing his speed, versatility, and ability to create opportunities across multiple positions.
Heading into 2026, he will be looking to build on that strong foundation and establish himself as a consistent attacking threat for the Highlanders.
