Henry Bell is an East Otago local who went to John McGlashan College.

The Hooker plays for Otago in the NPC and debuted in 2019. In 2022 Bell went over to the U.S. to play in the Major League Rugby competition and played for the Utah Warriors in 2022 and 2023.

Bell joined the Highlanders for his rookie Super Rugby season in 2024, debuting in round one against Moana Pasifika and played in every game for the Highlanders earning 15 caps in the single Super Rugby season. He will be hoping for the same consistency of selection in 2025 and being able to lay claim to the starting hooker jersey.

Rugby is in the family with brother George Bell playing for the Crusaders.
