Ayden is a big physical, competitive player with a high work rate. He joined the Highlanders from Waikato in 2019 and was a standout player in what was an experienced team.

At the end of the 2020 Super Rugby season, Ayden was selected for the North Side in the North vs South Fixture and was the 2019 Highlanders Rookie of the year. 

He has notched up 44 appearances for the Highlanders and will be competing for a front row spot to claim his #50 this season.
