A-One Lolofie is a powerful young hooker from Hastings who moved south to further his rugby and study opportunities. He came through Hastings Boys’ High School and has been part of the Highlanders’ high-performance pathway while playing club rugby for Zingari-Richmond in Dunedin

A-One has been heavily involved in age-grade representative rugby, earning selection to the New Zealand U20 setup and featuring for the side in 2024.

A-One pushed into provincial consideration with Otago — listed among academy and squad announcements and tracked in NPC selection discussions heading into the 2025 season. He was seen as a developing front-row option who brought strength in the set piece and a combative edge around the field.
