Terms and Conditions

Effective 1 October 2025

1. Promotion Period

• This promotion commences at 7am on Monday 13th October 2025 and closes at 5pm on Friday 14th November 2025 (Promotion Period).

2. Entry Requirements

• The competition is open to any individual.
• All designs must be the entrant’s own original work. Any plagiarised, copied, or AI-generated entries will be disqualified.
• Each person may submit up to two (2) entries.
• There is no entry fee required.

3. Submission Guidelines

• Designs must be submitted in high-resolution PNG, JPEG or PDF format on the supplied outline.
• Entries must be received by 5pm on Friday, 14th November 2025.
• Each submission must include the entrant’s full name, age and contact email or phone number.
• Entrants must not draw over or obscure any sponsor logo areas. A template will be provided, and all sponsor areas must remain clear and visible.

4. Intellectual Property and Usage Rights

• By submitting a design, entrants grant Highlanders Rugby Club Limited Partnership (The Highlanders) full ownership and all intellectual property rights of the submitted design.
• The Highlanders will have the irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free rights to use, adapt, reproduce, modify, publish, display, and distribute the design in any format or medium, including commercial products, merchandise, promotional materials, and digital media.
• Entrants waive any moral rights in relation to their design and agree not to reuse or resell the design elsewhere.
• Highlanders Rugby may make alterations or refinements to the final design for production purposes.

5. Judging and Selection

• All designs will be judged by a panel selected by Highlanders Rugby based on originality, creativity, connection to the team/community, and practical suitability for use on an official jersey.
• Judging is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The winning design(s) will be announced publicly via Highlanders channels.

6. Prize

• The winning designer will receive one signed jersey, match tickets to their game of choice, and public recognition.
• No alternative prizes or substitutions will be offered unless decided by Highlanders Rugby.

7. Sponsor and Branding Requirements

• The official jersey includes mandatory sponsor logos and placements.
• Any design submitted must not include unofficial brand names, artwork, or references, and must not interfere with areas reserved for Highlanders Rugby and sponsor logos.
• A jersey template with marked sponsor areas will be provided, and entrants must design around these protected zones.

8. Publicity and Promotion

• By entering, entrants give consent for Highlanders Rugby to use their name, design, and any images or recordings for promotional purposes related to the competition and wider marketing, without additional compensation.

9. Disqualification

• Highlanders Rugby reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet these terms, breaches intellectual property law, or contains inappropriate, offensive, or discriminatory content.

10. Limitation of Liability

• Highlanders Rugby is not responsible for any lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries or for any technical issues.
• To the extent permitted by law, Highlanders Rugby shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage arising from participation in this competition.

11. Privacy

• All personal information will be collected and used in accordance with Highlanders Rugby’s privacy policy and only for competition purposes.
• Entrants may request access to their personal information at any time.

12. General

• Highlanders Rugby reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the competition at any time.
• By entering, all participants agree to these Terms and Conditions.
• By entering, all participants agree to the Highlanders Standard Competition Terms and Conditions.
• This competition is governed by New Zealand law.
