General Rules – Highlanders Promotions

These Promotion or Competition Rules (“the Rules”) apply to all promotions or competitions (“the Promotion”) conducted by any means – including online, radio, print, in-person events, or via a connected device. The Rules may change from time to time.

If a Promotion has specific rules (“the Specific Rules”), they override these Rules in the case of a conflict.

Unless otherwise stated, entry is limited to one per person. Where multiple entries are allowed, each must be submitted separately.
Entry into any Promotion is deemed to be acceptance of both the Rules and any applicable Specific Rules.
Entrants must have the necessary authority (e.g., bill payer or account holder) to enter.
No purchase is required unless specified in the Specific Rules.
Open to New Zealand residents only.
Disqualified Participants may not enter.

Disqualified Participants Include:

Employees of the Highlanders or New Zealand Rugby and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, grandparents, etc.);
Individuals under 18, where the prize involves an element that is legally restricted by age.

The Highlanders reserve the right to exclude any participant on reasonable grounds or to refuse to award a prize where someone has violated the Rules, gained an unfair advantage, or entered fraudulently.

By entering, entrants agree that the Highlanders may use their name, image, video, voice, and likeness for promotional purposes without royalty or compensation.

All personal information must be valid and up-to-date. It will be held in accordance with the Highlanders’ Privacy Policy: www.thehighlanders.co.nz and may be used for future marketing unless the entrant opts out.

Specific Rules – Win Back Your Seat for 2026

Promoter

The promoter is the Highlanders Rugby Club (“The Highlanders”).

Eligibility

Open to 2025 Highlanders Club Members who complete the auto-renew process for their 2026 Club Membership.
Entrants must remain opted-in at the time of the prize draw.
One entry per membership account.
Disqualified Participants are not eligible.

How to Enter

Entry is automatic once a member has opted and the payment has been successfully processed through the auto-renew process for the 2026 season.
No additional purchase or action is required beyond the opt-in.
Cancelling auto-renewal before the draw will disqualify the entry.

Prize

One (1) winner will be selected to receive a full refund for one (1) Highlanders 2026 Club Membership seat of equivalent value to the Membership they renewed.
If multiple memberships are held under the winning account, only one will be refunded.
If paid by instalments, only the balance for one (1) membership will be waived; remaining balances on additional memberships will still apply.
Prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
Refund will be made via bank transfer to a nominated bank account or as agreed between the winner and the Highlanders.

Draw and Notification

The winner will be drawn at random after the opt-in period closes and the Auto Renew payment has been processed on the 28th August 2025. The Draw date will be no later than the 1st September 2025.).
The winner will be contacted via email, phone, or text.
If uncontactable after three (3) attempts, a new winner may be drawn.
The winner may be publicly announced on Highlanders’ digital and social media platforms.

Publicity and Use of Personal Information

By entering, participants consent to:

Their name, image, and membership being used in marketing or promotional material related to the competition.
Their personal data being stored and used in line with the Highlanders Privacy Policy and applicable New Zealand privacy law.

Entrants may request to access or update their information or opt out of marketing by contacting the Highlanders directly.

The Highlanders’ Responsibility

The Highlanders reserve the right to amend, postpone, or cancel the competition at any time.
The Highlanders are not responsible for any technical failures, disconnections, or user error that prevents successful entry.
To the extent permitted by law, the Highlanders accept no liability for any loss, injury, or damage incurred through participation in the Promotion or use of the prize.
If the prize is provided by a third party and cannot be delivered, the Highlanders are not responsible for its replacement or enforcement.

Acceptance of Terms

By entering the Promotion, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions.
If the selected winner does not accept these terms, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner may be drawn.
