Mika is an exciting young prodigy from Southland who will join the Highlanders in 2027. He is a composed playmaker that brings a balanced kicking and running game. Mika has progressed through the Highlanders High-Performance programme.

Mika has already made significant successes in his rugby career at 19 years of age. He was part of the Southland Boys High School team that won the national title in 2023, in 2025 he made his NPC debut for the Southland Stags and recently has been a part of the NZ U20’s side where they earned a bronze medal at the World Rugby Championship.

Muliaina is a real talent who seems to bring success with him wherever he goes, he will certainly be a Highlander to watch in 2027 and following years.
