Nathan Hastie was born in Perth and moved to New Zealand when he was a teen. 

Hastie has been signed with Otago since 2021 but made his debut in 2023 due to a bad run of injuries. Hastie also made his Super Rugby debut in 2023 in Perth against the Western Force. 

What does representing the Highlanders mean to you? 

It means everything. Representing my family, friends, and the region I'm from is a dream come true.
