Highlanders Coaching Debut - 2024

Assistant Coach

Kenny Lynn joins the Highlanders coaching staff in 2024 as Attack Coach.

Lynn played 61 times for the Southland Stags and made 36 appearances for the Highlanders (#157) between 2009 and 2012. Lynn then moved to France and played for Lyon from 2014-2016 before making his debut as their Skills Coach, where has been for the past seven seasons.

In 2023 Lynn was appointed Head Coach of Lyon before moving with his family back to Dunedin. Lynn is excited about returning to the region and getting stuck in.

“After 9 years living in France, I’m excited to bring home what I have learnt to the Highlanders.

I look forward to using my experiences coaching in the Top14 and European competitions to add another dimension to what the Highlanders already do so well and to continuing the work in place to grow the potential within the group and ultimately win championships.
I can't wait to re-connect with the people of the region and get amongst everything that awesome place has to offer."
