Liam Coltman enters his fifth Super Rugby season for the Highlanders in 2015 and is an impressive athlete, whether playing at prop or his preferred position of hooker. After being elevated from the Wider Training Group in 2013, Coltman has shown himself to be a powerful and abrasive hooker with great commitment and work ethic. He was awarded for his work in the 2014 season by earning a place in the All Blacks Wider Training Group in May and while ultimately not making an appearance, his time in the world-champion environment proved to be immeasurable experience for the young forward's ongoing development. The 26-year-old was also a member of the New Zealand U20 team that retained the world title in 2010. When not playing rugby, Coltman enjoys surfing, fishing and hunting and rarely wears long pants, even during the cold Dunedin winters.
