Biography

Tom Franklin is a promising lock who was a member of the New Zealand U20 team that won the 2010 Junior World Championship in Argentina. Having grown immensely since his ITM Cup team debut for Otago against Counties Manukau in 2011, Franklin was named in the Highlanders' squad for the 2014 Super Rugby season, debuting against the Lions in Dunedin and earning eight caps for the year. Tom has a high work rate and has established himself as one of the better locks in Super Rugby. Rewarded with his second tour with the Maori All Blacks Franklin is now a regular starting lock for the Highlanders.
