Hayden Parker is entering his fourth season for the Highlanders. After three very successful ITM Cup campaigns with Otago, which include winning the coveted Ranfurly Shield in 2013, Parker gets another opportunity to play Super Rugby. A skillful flyhalf, the 24-year-old is adept from the kicking tee, displaying a high success rate throughout all of his ITM Cup campaigns. Known as the 'Kurow Kid', Parker will continue to add punch to the backline and displays a running game that keeps opposition defences guessing. After a receving a season ending injury early on in 2015 Parker spent most of the season on the sideline (including ITM cup season) but travelled to Japan at the end of the year to play for the Panasonic Wild Knights. These games have helped Parker to regain his match fitness and return to the Highlanders in 2016 ready to go. Parker is a self-proclaimed irrigation expert and would be a farmer if not for rugby.
