The Highlanders Rugby Club is looking for an Assistant Physiotherapist to join the organisation in January 2021 for the Super Rugby 2021 campaign.

You will work alongside the Head Physiotherapist and other members of the Highlanders management team to ensure that the team is appropriately supported and prepared for the 2021 season. 

To be successful in this role you will have proven sports physiotherapy experience in high performance environments. Working in professional rugby will be an advantage. You would be expected to hold a current annual practicing certificate and be able to work in New Zealand. It is expected that you would have completed or will undertake an Immediate Care in Rugby Level 2 course as soon as practicable. The Highlanders adhere to the principles outlined in the World Rugby Player Welfare Standards and it is expected that the successful candidate would uphold these in respect of the team when assembled. 

Beyond having specific expertise and experience, a good knowledge and understanding of the game will be beneficial, as well as outstanding organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. It is expected that all team members will also contribute outside their specialist area when required. An appreciation of the values and standards of the Highlander Man is critical as well as high levels of integrity, passion and competitive drive.
