Elliot Dixon is a senior player in the Highlanders and joined the team as a rookie in 2011. Off the back of his impressive 2012 Super Rugby season, Dixon was selected for the 2012 Maori All Blacks' tour of Europe and has backed that up with subsequent selection in the team in both 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. The Christchurch-born loose forward was also a member of the New Zealand U20 side that won the Junior World Championship in Tokyo in 2009.
Dixon has played strongly for the Highlanders at numbers 8 and 6 and has shown his versatility for the team by playing on the openside as well, after a strong 2016 season Dixon was selected for the All Blacks to play Wales in June 2016 and made three appearances for the national side during test matches. Off a recent stint in Japan with Ricoh Black Rams, 92-game veteran, Elliot, will rejoin the Highlanders for his ninth season where his versatility, experience and durability as loose forward will once again be an asset to the Club.
