The temperatures maybe in the 30s and the month of  February may only a day old, but the Pulse Energy Highlanders will play there first game of the season under the magnificent Central Otago sun in Alexandra on Friday night.

They will take on the NSW Waratahs in their annual preseason fixture at Molyneux Park Stadium. The whole squad will be in attendance at the game however the All Blacks having only just returned will not be involved in the match.

A good crowd of in excess of 4000 is expected to witness the first super rugby game  in Alexandra, kick-off is 6pm.

The game will be played in 3 x 30 minute periods and will be an ideal opportunity for both teams with the competition proper starting in just two weeks’ time.
