Biography
With three brothers that have played or currently play for the All Blacks; Luke Whitelock also had a call into the All Blacks squad in 2013 before being recalled in 2017 to captain the side against the French XV. Having played rugby for Canterbury and the Crusaders over 50 times, the youngest of the Whitelock family, Luke has established himself as a fine leader in the Highlanders team. Luke captained the side in their historic victory over the British & Irish Lions and has already made 23 appearances for the Highlanders. Luke was also a member of the 2017 Barbarians team that played against the All Blacks in their end of year tour match at Twickenham. A consistent and hard-working number eight, Luke is a valuable member of the 2018 Highlanders squad.
