The Highlanders have today confirmed their wider training group for the 2013 season.  Tony Ensor (Otago), Hugh Blake (Otago), Doug Tietjens (Manawatu), Bronson Murray (Northland) and Frae Wilson (Wellington) will all join the Highlanders next week for pre-season training in Dunedin.

Bronson Murray - Bronson gained a first call-up to Super Rugby in 2008 with the Blues and moved to the Crusaders the following year.  In 2010 Bronson joined the Highlanders, where he had a standout season in the front row.  A rugged prop, Murray has a superb scrumming technique and he was rewarded with selection in the Maori All Blacks in 2012.

Doug Tietjens - Doug joined the Highlanders for the first time in 2012.  He is a current Manawatu player who impressed Highlanders coach Jamie Joseph during the 2011 ITM Cup competition.  Born in Australia, Tietjens has played 45 first class games for Manawatu and he will be looking to establish himself in the starting XV of the Highlanders in 2013.

Frae Wilson - Frae is a newcomer to the Highlanders in 2013 after making his debut for the Wellington Lions at ITM Cup level in 2011.  Frae had a stellar season behind the Lions pack this year and he was duly selected in the Maori All Blacks European Tour in 2012.

Tony Ensor - Tony joins the Highlanders for the first time in 2013 after an excellent season for the Otago Razorbacks in the 2012 ITM Cup.  Tony is a versatile player who can cover fullback and wing. He has a habit of finding the try line and crossed for six tries in 2012.

Hugh Blake - Hugh made his provincial debut in 2012 for Otago in the ITM Cup and his impressive form earned selection in the Highlanders for the 2013 Season.  Huge was also part of the New Zealand Under 20 team that finished as runner-up to South Africa in the IRB World Championship in 2012.
