HIGHLANDERS TEAM TO FACE THE CRUSADERS

 MEDIA RELEASE – Thursday 15 March 2018

A strong history of brotherly rivalry between these two Super Rugby clubs ensures there is always plenty of interest anytime they meet. These Southern derby games have produced some classic matches in recent times with both games in the 2017 season decided in the last minute of the game; unfortunately for the Pulse Energy Highlanders, in the Crusaders favour. This fourth round encounter will be no exception with both teams having two wins under their belt and looking to be in reasonable early season form.

Aaron Mauger and his coaching team have made a couple of changes for this week with co-captain Ash Dixon returning from injury and Aki Seiuli getting his first start of the year. Powerful Counties front rower, Kalolo Tuiloma, earns his debut appearance on the bench and Elliot Dixon returns to the bench as loose forward cover. In the backs the well performed, Tevita Li, is back on the left wing reuniting with Ben Smith and Waisake Naholo. Kayne Hammington rotates in for Josh Renton at halfback reserve.
