Tonight Forsyth Barr Stadium will be glowing Highlander Blue to mark the start of the Pulse Energy Highlanders home season.

Coincidentally the Pulse Energy Highlanders will be playing the Blues in their first match on Friday night as Super Rugby kicks off for the 2018 season.

“We wanted to find a fitting way to acknowledge the beginning of our season and lighting up our iconic home ground seemed a good way to do it. It’s a real privilege to host the season launch for Super Rugby in New Zealand, games between New Zealand clubs are always great matches; with a good crowd expected and the Zoo in good voice it should be a great occasion” said Pulse Energy Highlanders CEO, Roger Clark.

Dunedin Venues Management Limited CEO, Terry Davies, is also excited about the upcoming game, “it’s great to kick off the season again under the roof, we’re hoping for a big crowd to celebrate the opening match”.

The lights will go on between 9.00-11.30pm tonight and should make for a spectacular sight from around the hill suburbs of Dunedin.

The Highlanders play the Blues at 7.35pm on Friday 23rd February at Forsyth Barr Stadium.
